The 24 capsules on the Royal Windsor Wheel offer amazing views of the town below and the amazing Windsor Castle – one of the most coveted attractions in the area. The Castle is the world's oldest and largest occupied castle and draws hundreds of visitors daily. Loved by Queen Elizabeth II, the castle was built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror and covers an area of 13 acres and has been home to 40 monarchs during its interesting history.
Just like Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle also has the changing of the guard, and it has been happening since 1660. It occurs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
As well as Windsor Castle, you will be able to see the famous River Thames from your capsule. The Thames is the chief river of southern England and covers an area of approximately 5,500 square miles (14,250 square km). Home to over 25 species of fish, the river is the longest in England and has 45 locks. Enjoy the views of the magnificent river on board the Royal Windsor Wheel.
