Description
Enjoy an open top bus ride around the beautiful and popular historic Scottish capital city of Edinburgh. There are three different ticket options that you can select, and three different routes for you to experience, all offering you the chance to hop-on and hop-off at your selected destinations for you to explore further. Choose one route or choose all 3. Travel for 24 hours or 48 hours.
Edinburgh Tour
This tour explores Edinburgh's city centre with a live English speaking tour guide giving you all of the informative information to make you an expert in all things Edinburgh. The city is awash with fantastic historical buildings, and this route will take you to places such as Edinburgh Castle, the Scottish Parliament, the Royal Mile and you will see the architecture of the Georgian New Town.
Majestic Tour
The Majestic Tour takes you to the quieter north of Edinburgh's city centre towards the port of Leith. On the way you will pass the picturesque Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, before heading off to see The Royal Yacht Britannia and then back down to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Scottish Parliament building. The Majestic tour offers an audio-guided commentary and is available in 10 different languages.
City Sightseeing Edinburgh
This route focuses on the main tourist attractions. As with the Majestic tour, there is multi-language audio-guided commentary, but this route also gives the kids in your group the special Horrible Histories commentary, narrated by Terry Deary himself! This route covers the National Museum of Scotland and Greyfriars Bobby. When looking for Greyfriars Bobby, remember to look for the inspiration for the name Tom Riddel from the Harry Potter books and films, in the way of Thomas Riddell's gravestone. One of the many Harry Potter references that you will find in Edinburgh from JK Rowling’s time in the city.
