Description
Take a glimpse into the life of a student at the University of Oxford and see Harry Potter filming locations all in one tour with a professional guide. You can see where Harry Potter was shot, famous Oxford landmarks such as the spires of Merton College and Corpus Christi and explore Christ Church College with a complimentary audio guide.
As you walk the historic area of Oxford, your guide will provide you with fun and interesting facts about the making of the Harry Potter movies – and put your knowledge to the test with a Potter-mania quiz! Plus, you will hear stories about Lewis Carroll’s legendary characters such as Alice and the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland and how they fit into the Oxford scene.
Included in the tour is entry to Christ Church College. Enjoy views of the meadows and the rivers of Cherwell and Isis before entering the college and marvelling at the stunning architecture, cloisters and staircase which were used as the inspiration for the Great Hall in the Harry Potter films.
You will also step inside Bodleian Library which you may recognise as the Divinity School from the Harry Potter films. As one of the oldest libraries in Europe, and one of the most famous thanks to the boy who lived, you are sure to be amazed by its grandeur – and the fact that regular students get to use it every day!
