Description
Hampstead is one of the most beautiful and affluent areas in London and has been the choice location for many cultural icons past and present. On the Celebrity Homes Tour of Hampstead, your expert guide will take you into the world of famous actors, entertainers, and comedians and share fun titbits about their lives and homes in the area.
Starting at Hampstead Underground Station, your guide will lead you to your first celebrity home – that of Ricky Gervais. This UK comedian has made a life out of acting, writing, producing and directing successful TV series and comedy shows – he is also one of the most controversial figures in the Hollywood scene.
You will then stop off at the former home of beloved UK actress, Dame Judi Dench who resided in the house for many years and is recognised across the world for her role in countless blockbusters and Oscar-worthy films, including the in the James Bond franchise.
Along the tour, you will also see homes once lived in by a range of interesting celebrities from the UK such as a Spice Girl, successful British film directors and writers, the legendary singer and songwriter Liam Gallagher, a grand gothic mansion that once housed two of Britain’s biggest and most flamboyant recording artists, and finally the home of Jim Henson – the American puppeteer who brought a very famous frog to life.
The tour will end at Belsize Park Underground Station.
