Description
Take to the streets of the vibrant city of Liverpool for a fabulous 2.15 hours walking tour exploring the special places connected to The Beatles. After meeting your local Beatles Guide, you’ll discover many attractions and learn more about the band’s path to global fame in the 1960s.
Promenade along the historical and stunning Liverpool Waterfront, where you’ll see the Royal Albert Dock — a restored former working dock, The Pier Head and more. But most exciting of all is the iconic statue of the Fab Four. These larger-than-life figures were donated by the Cavern Club in 2015 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band’s last performance in Liverpool.
The tour will then continue onto Mathew Street where the legendary Cavern Club is located. It’s here that the Beatles played 292 times in the 1960s. You’ll also spot statues of John Lennon and Cilla Black as well as the Cavern Wall of Fame and the 4 Lads Who Shook The World sculpture. As you stroll around, take a selfie with the Eleanor Rigby statue — one of the Beatles’ most iconic songs and the Brian Epstein statue, the manager of The Beatles.
See the famous Liverpool Town Hall, where hundreds of thousands of people gathered in 1964 to greet the band after their conquering of the US. You may also be able to go inside and see their names in the Entrance Hall inscribed on the list of Honorary Freeman.
What’s more, pop into the Hard Days Night Hotel or the Central Library, which holds archives telling the story how everything began for The Beatles.
