Description
Step into the world of fashion with VOGUE: Inventing the Runway at Lightroom in Kings Cross. The immersive experience in London will take over Lightroom’s four-storey walls with a 360-degree canvas and provide you with exciting access to Vogue’s archives and contributor network.
Spectacular lighting and visuals will transport you to another time and place as you explore the history of the fashion runway show, from the intimate couture salons of the early 20th century to the unforgettable pop-culture events of today.
Using original animation, the exhibition is both visceral and insightful. Immersive sound design and an incredible score combining original composition with classical and pop music will evoke memories of the worlds when iconic runway shows shifted the cultural landscape.
First-hand testimonies from the fashion industry’s leading voices will reveal how runway shows became the ultimate statement of a designer’s vision and at times a walking expression of their identity. See and feel the effort it takes to reimagine a fashion label every season for years on end and the impact runways have on society.
Whether you are a fashion aficionado, a long-term fan of Vogue, or simply want to join in the celebration of the imagination, passion, and dedication of those in the fashion industry past, present, and future, the exhibition is not one to be missed.
