Description
Leave the fast-paced bustle of London behind and head out to the quintessentially English region of the Cotswolds for a glorious and relaxing guided day tour to see some of the most famous sites featured in the hit TV show Downton Abbey.
Cotswolds’ Villages
See the gorgeous sights of the Cotswolds as you drive through beautiful villages, including Bampton. In Downton Abbey, Bampton is the town called Downton Village and is used for most of the buildings featured in the show. St Mary’s Church, the Bampton Library and Isabel Crawley’s house are some of the famous places you might recognise. On this tour, you will get a behind-the-scenes exhibition at Bampton Library, so if you are a fan of the show then this tour is definitely for you!
Your journey will also take you to Burford, where you can see lines of ancient houses and shops, and then drive through Bourton-on-the-Water, which is home to England’s oldest pharmacy, a three-arched medieval bridge and medieval almshouses.
You can also select a 2-course lunch in traditional British pub lunch.

Blenheim Palace
The final stop on this magnificent tour is Blenheim Palace with access to The Churchill Exhibition. A monumental house with 2,000 acres of beautiful parkland, Blenheim Palace is the only non-royal and non-religious country house in England to hold the title of Palace.
Built in 1705 and 1722, Blenheim Palace is the birthplace of the 1st Duke of Marlborough’s descendent, Winston Churchill, whose life and achievements are commemorated in a permanent exhibition in the suite of rooms in which he was born. After exploring the Palace, head outside for a stroll around its landscaped Park, which was designed by the renowned Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.
Expert tip: Enjoy a delicious ice cream at Bourton-on-the-Water. The village is filled with ice cream stalls, vans, and shops - there’s plenty to choose from!
You can book this tour with or without the lunch option.
